Introducing the Bootstrap Farmer Caterpillar Tunnel with butterfly doors. This complete tunnel kit combines the simplicity of traditional cat tunnels with the durability of a hoop house, making it an essential tool for crop protection and cultivation.

A structure that withstands harsher weather than standard cat tunnels while remaining far easier to assemble and use than a traditional high tunnel.

• Triple-Layer Protection Tubing: Combines zinc, conversion coating, and a clear organic polymer for a durable, strong, and visually appealing finish.

• Ridge Pole and Wind Braces: Made from 1.35” OD 16 GA Texas-fabricated, US-sourced steel tubing, these features add rigidity along the top spine of each hoop and prevent frame movement.

• Structural Integrity Upgrades: Traditional CAT tunnels are reimagined with 1” OD 16 GA ground posts, triple-layer protected, US-sourced steel tubing, replacing rebar pins for deeper ground anchorage and enhanced stability.

• Optional Truss Parts: Available for areas with high winds or heavy snow, these parts are made from the same high-quality material for additional lateral support.

• Ventilation and Plastic Securing Mechanisms: Includes a Batton Strap for securing greenhouse plastic and hoop springs for manual side curtain ventilation, with an option to upgrade to roll-up sides.

• Innovative Butterfly Doors: These unique doors streamline end-wall management, providing easy access, efficient ventilation, and effective protection against weather elements. No more bunching up loose plastic at the ends; laborious and unkempt loose plastic is unsightly and a potential fail point. Rapidly open and close your entire end wall to vent or move equipment and harvests in and out of the tunnel. The clamshell design sheds water and winds over your tunnel during rain events and dumps heat build-up in the summer with easy closing and opening.  

• Scalability for Growth: The design allows for future additions such as end walls, hip and baseboards, and other customizations to accommodate expanding farming needs.

Shipping Damage Claims are not Warranty Replacements. 

If a product is damaged in shipping to you, reach out to us for a replacement within 7 days of receiving the package. We will need to file a shipping claim. Please send pictures of the box, inside the box, and the damaged product via email at contact@bootstrapfarmer.com, and we will send you replacements. The pictures are required for the shipping claim. We appreciate your help with this, as it is our priority to get a replacement sent to you as soon as possible.

When are my products not covered?

• Product damaged from misuse/left outside in the elements.
• Products that have been soiled or abused beyond a reasonable expectation
• Products lost or damaged through natural disasters, fire, or accidents
• Product purchased outside of warranty limit (warranty lengths vary on the product)

User-tested, Hands on Design of USA-Made Products

Since moving our tray production to the US, we have had a more hands-on role in the trays' design, composition, and manufacturing process. We have found ways to improve our product, like increasing the tray's flexibility while preserving the heavy-duty standard. This extra flexibility reduced the risk of corner chipping on the trays, making them even more indestructible! We were even able to redesign the tray's appearance by adding a thumb notch and thicker tray walls giving them added strength and durability. 

We've also been able to speed up product development, improve quality control and reduce our carbon footprint by lowering shipping miles.

All USA Made 1020 trays, 1020 microgreen trays, 1020 Mesh Trays, 1010 Trays, air pruning trays, six-cell plug insert trays, and 2.5" seed starting pots have a 2-year warranty to be free from defects.  

To ensure quality, we test our products at real working farms. If it doesn't break, it's ready for your farm. Then, the testing continues with you. Bootstrap Farmer relies on hardworking growers' expert feedback to continue to improve our products and offerings.

Of Note: The sun degrades all plastic. This warranty does not apply to trays left bare in the sun for extended periods. This warranty applies to and is warranted for cracks and degradation due to an inadequacy in manufacturing. 

Color fading under light is normal and not covered under warranty. Some colors will fade more quickly than others. While all plastics are sensitive to natural sunlight degradation, all of our trays are made with a UV-resistant additive to help reduce and slow this effect. 

How to Order Replacement Trays?

Our trays are made to hold up to commercial use. If they chip, crack or degrade in the first two years, we will send you a replacement. We want our customers to know they can rely on the quality of our products and that we want you to use the best. Email us at contact@bootstrapfarmer.com, and our friendly customer support team will ensure you get a new sturdy tray replacement. This warranty is complimentary for the first two years after your purchase.

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable or sanitary goods such as seeds, flowers or growing media cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that have been customized.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.  Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

• Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
• Non-Returnable Items where we have explicitly in writing agreed to accept a return.
• Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Product FAQ's

Q: Do the Cat Tunnel kits come with a warranty? the 6 mil plastic cover states a 4 year warranty, does the structure have a warranty?

A: All Metal Kits include a five-year warranty against manufacturing defects, which includes a four-year manufacturer's warranty on the greenhouse plastic. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, loss or damage due to natural disasters, fire, or accidents, or issues resulting from failure to follow the installation instructions during assembly.
