Timber Stoves Big Timber Elite Wood Pellet Patio Heater
About Timber Stoves Patio Heater
The New elite series of Timber Wood Pellet Patio Heaters brings performance and style into one great product. Providing head to toe heat is the focus of this heater but with the added bonus of an elegant stainless steel design. Requiring no electricity, this heater’s flame is powered only by gravity and the draft created from the stove pipe. Using wood pellets as an Eco-friendly alternative fuel just makes sense when compared to the high price and inefficiency of propane. Pellets run at a quarter of the operating cost, while producing twice the amount of BTU’s.

Product FAQs
Timber Stoves Product FAQs
Q: Can I use regular wood in my stove?
A: No. It is designed only to burn wood pellets.
Q: Can the stove be used on a wood or Trex deck?
A: Yes, Timber stoves can be used on wood or Trex decks but must be under a grill mat or heat pad.
Q: Can I use this in my enclosed patio?
A: Yes, as long as you have proper ventilation and maintain a 3′ clearance from combustibles above the top reflector. The stove pipe may also be adjusted to accommodate lower roof clearances. Reducing the stove pipe will affect the efficiency slightly. Heat will be reduced by 100 degrees for every foot taken out. Note, although the stove does not emitt a significant amount of smoke, soot will eventually appear above the stove.
Q: How do I get the pellets to start burning?
A: A good choice for fire starters would be fire gel or charcoal lighter fluid. Add 1-2 tablespoons over the top of; the pellets inside the stove after the shutoff key is removed from your hopper. Light with a long match or barbeque lighter.
Q: How do I turn the stove off?
A: Insert the shutoff key in the horizontal slot at the base of the hopper. Open the damper all the way and the fire will extinguish itself when all of the fuel in the stove burns completely.
Q: How do I clean it?
A: Wipe the glass with a damp rag when the stove is cool. Scrape in-between the fire pot bars when the gap between them becomes clogged and doesn’t allow air to freely pass through. You will only need to empty the ash pan once every 4-5 uses. Only empty the ash pan when the stove is off and at ambient temperature. Throw away the ash in a safe place away from any combustibles.
Q: How much does it weigh?
A: Revere – 69 lbs
Big timber – 66 lbs
Lil Timber – 59 lbs
Q: How hot does it get?
A: We observe an output of 90,000 BTU’s for the Big Timber and Revere heaters and 72,000 BTU’s for the Lil Timber heater. The actual output will vary depending on the quality of pellets you purchase. We recommend a softwood pellet with a rating of 8,000 BTU/lb or higher for optimal function and heat output.
Q: Do I have to put it together?
A: Yes, partial assembly is required. There is an assembly video on our youtube channel – Wood Pellet Products
Q: How long will a bag of pellets last?
A: You should see about 5 hours of burn time from a 40 lb bag of high quality pellets. approximate burn time for a full hopper is 2.5 hours for the Revere, 2 hours for the Big Timber and 1.5 hours for the Lil Timber. The hopper extension will add an additional 1.5 hrs per extension.
Q: Can I use more than one hopper extension?
A: Yes, but we recommend you use one of our weight plates if more than 1 extension is used.
Q: My heater is not getting hot, what can I do to fix this?
A: If you’re having issues with heat output it is most likely the fuel. Buy pellets that have the highest BTU ratings, which should be provided on the bags. We recommend a rating of at least 8,000 BTU/lb. Look for pellets made from fir trees.
Regular maintenance of your patio heater will allow for optimal performance. This includes cleaning out the firepot by scraping in between the bars, emptying the ash pan, and making sure the spark arrestor mesh is clear of debris so the stove can breathe. We have a maintenance video on our Wood Pellet Products YouTube Channel.
