Xantrex TRUEcharge3 40A 3 Bank Battery Charger - 12V [804-1240-10]
TRUEcharge3 battery chargers lead the industry with a small footprint and ultra-compact design. In addition to meeting global safety and regulatory standards, they feature low electrical interference and efficient power factor-corrected multistage charging. The TRUEcharge3 Chargers can be mounted in multiple positions thanks to their inherent drip-proof design characteristics. Unlike its predecessors, TRUEcharge3 is lithium-ion battery compatible.
Designed for recreational and commercial applications worldwide, TRUEcharge3 accepts 90–265 Vac, and 47–63 Hz, which makes traveling abroad and handling poor-quality power a breeze. The easy-to-read display of the TRUEcharge3 12 V models can be enhanced with an optional remote panel. Each model has built-in protection against surges and spikes on the AC power line.
Features:
- Microprocessor-controlled, multistage charging algorithms
- Settings for two and three-stage charging
- Battery-equalization feature
- Settings for flooded, gel, AGM, or lithium-ion batteries
- Equipped with parallel stacking (remote panel required)
- Ability to charge batteries drained to extremely low voltage
- Added quiet mode
Protection Features:
- Reverse-battery polarity protection
- Drip-proof design
- DC over-voltage protection
- Over-temperature protection
- Circuit breaker protection
Three-Stage Charging
Multistage charging ensures batteries receive optimum charging, but with minimal wear and tear, regulating the voltage and current delivered to the batteries in three automatic stages:
- Bulk: Replaces 70–80% of the battery’s state-of-charge at the fastest possible rate
- Absorption: Replenishes the remaining 20–30% of charge, bringing the battery to a full charge at a slow, safe rate
- Float: Voltage is reduced and held constant to prevent damage and maintain batteries at a full charge for the remaining 20–30% of charge, bringing the battery to a full charge at a slow, safe rate
Power Factor Corrected (PFC) Charging
Less shore power is required for charging batteries, freeing up more usable AC power for running electrical devices and appliances and reducing the likelihood of tripping shore power breakers.

XANTREX WARRANTY POLICY
Xantrex Limited Warranties are provided by Xantrex Technology Inc. (“Xantrex”) and cover defects in workmanship and materials.
Duration of a Xantrex Warranty Period
These warranties last for a Warranty Period that varies by product from the date of purchase at point of sale to you, the original end user customer.
Please contact Xantrex Customer Service for further details on specific products.
What Will Xantrex Do
Xantrex will, at its option, repair or replace the defective product free of charge, provided that you notify Xantrex of the product defect within the Warranty Period for your product, and provided that Xantrex through inspection establishes the existence of such a defect and that it is covered by the Limited Warranty.
Xantrex will, at its option, use new and/or reconditioned parts in performing warranty repair and building replacement products. Xantrex reserves the right to use parts or products of original or improved design in the repair or replacement. If Xantrex repairs or replaces a product, its warranty continues for the remaining portion of the original Warranty Period or 90 days from the date of the return shipment to the customer, whichever is greater. All replaced products and all parts removed from repaired products become the property of Xantrex.
Xantrex covers both parts and labor necessary to repair the product, and return shipment to the customer via a Xantrex-selected non-expedited surface freight within the contiguous United States and Canada. Alaska and Hawaii are excluded. Contact Xantrex customer service for details on freight policy for return shipments outside of the contiguous United States and Canada.
International customers are responsible for paying freight charges (both inbound & return) for in-warranty replacement or repair.

Proof of purchase may be in any one of the following forms:
- The dated purchase receipt from the original purchase of the product at point of sale to the end user, or
- The dated dealer invoice or purchase receipt showing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) status, or
- The dated invoice or purchase receipt showing the product exchanged under warranty
What Do Xantrex Warranties Not Cover
Xantrex Limited Warranties do not cover normal wear and tear of the product or costs related to the removal, installation, or troubleshooting of the customer’s electrical systems. These warranties do not apply to and Xantrex will not be responsible for any defect in or damage to:
- the product if it has been misused, neglected, improperly installed, physically damaged or altered, either internally or externally, or damaged from improper use or use in an unsuitable environment;
- the product if it has been subjected to fire, water, generalized corrosion, biological infestations, or input voltage that creates operating conditions beyond the maximum or minimum limits listed in the Xantrex product specifications including high input voltage from generators and lightning strikes;
- the product if repairs have been done to it other than by Xantrex or its authorized service centers (hereafter “ASCs”);
- the product if it is used as a component part of a product expressly warranted by another manufacturer;
- the product if its original identification (trade-mark, serial number) markings have been defaced, altered, or removed.
